Hummingbird With Hibiscus Flower

1st Place Winner with a Silver Medal and a Cash Prize of $1000.

 

Entitled "Humming & Hovering", the Hummingbird depicted beside the Hibiscus Flower.

 

There was a total of eleven Ice Carvers at the February 2008 Ice Carving Competition.

 

 Held in Lakeville Pennsylvania and Sanctioned by the National Ice Carving Association (NICA).

Dragonfly First Place Bronx Zoo Ice Carving Competition

The "Dragonfly" made from two Blocks of Ice with a Carving time of four hours.

 

Won First Place, People's Choice Award, Most Creative Ice Carving Award and a Cash Prize of $1000.

 

At the December 2011 Bronx Zoo New York City Ice Carving Competition.

 

A total of fifteen Ice Carvers from all over the US Northeast Competed in this Contest.

 

This Competition was not Judged by a Panel of NICA Judges.

Instead, the Votes from the Attendees decided the Winner.

Single Block Dragonfly

3rd Place with a Silver Medal and a Cash Prize of $500.

 

The "Dragonfly" Carved from a Single Ice Block with a Carving time of two and a half hours.

A recreation of the double block Dragonfly on a smaller scale.

 

A National Ice Carving Association (NICA) Sanctioned Event.

 

Held in January 2012 at Mount Holly, New Jersey.

This Competition was Judged by a Panel of three NICA Judges.

The 3rd Place Winner with a Cash Prize of $500 is the "Flying Fish".

Made from two ice blocks with four hours of carving time.

At the December 2009 Salute to Wildlife Ice Carving Competition. 

 

Held at The Bronx Zoo, Bronx, New York.

The Components were Hand Crafted and Re-assembled to Depict the Flying Fish on the Waves.

There was over eleven Ice Carvers that Competed in this Contest.

Sunflower With Butterfly

The 2nd Place Winner "Sunflower with Butterfly".

Earned a Silver Medal and a Cash Prize of $750.

 

Made from a Single Block of Ice with a Carving time of two and a half hours.

At the Annual Mount Holly New Jersey Ice Carving Contest.

 

A National Ice Carving Association (NICA) Sanctioned Competition held in January 2008.

Fifteen Ice Sculptors Competed in this Competition.
